Chapter 8: Trends
Press the
a
key to cycle through displays until Trends is shown. Trends can be displayed for SpO
2
,
pulse rate, signal pulse strength, respiration rate, or temperature. The following diagram and
descriptions outline the trend display’s features.

Scale
The trend’s scale is shown on the left side of the trend display.
Trend Graph
The trend graph is displayed here. Displayed trends show elapsed time,
that is, what happened over the selected minutes or hours. Gaps will appear in the trend graph
for the length of time the monitor has been off or the parameter data has been invalid.
Trended Parameter
The name of the trended parameter is displayed here. Trended
parameters are the following: signal, resp, SpO
2
, pulse, and temp.
Trend Time
The time scale of the trend is displayed here. Trend data and time are
continuously updated.
To view a different trend, press an
ARROW
(
)
key until the desired trend is
displayed. Press
a
to view the plethysmogram. Trend times and scales are selected with
the
TRENDS
menu item (see
Trends Menu
).
