Reflectance R/E Sensor
Connect sensor to patient cable.
Ensure that the rectum is free of
fecal matter within eight (8)
centimeters of the anus. Insert
the sensor into the rectum
approximately six (6)
centimeters. Sensor light
emitting diode (LED) should be
positioned towards the spine to
ensure optimal performance.
Ensure that a minimum of two
(2) pulse strength bars are
displayed. If not, adjust sensor
by rotating or withdrawing
approximately one (1)
centimeter for maximum
mucosal wall contact.
