Drive Bay Installation
A bezel covers the front of the chassis but does not need to be removed to
access the drives. If you wish to remove the bezel piece, push on the
three tabs on the inside left side lip of the front chassis cover. Then
slightly swing out the same (left) side of the cover - about ½ inch only.
Remove by pushing on the open side of the cover to remove it from the
chassis (do not try to swing or pull it straight out after opening the left side.
SCSI Drives
After unlocking the SCSI drive bay door swing it open to access the SCSI
drives. See Figure 6-1 for SCSI drive IDs, which are preconfigured in order
from bottom to top (or from left to right if rackmounted).
Note:
Only standard 1" high, 80-pin SCA SCSI drives may be used.
Use extreme caution when working around the SCSI
backplane. Do not touch the backplane with any
metal objects and make sure no ribbon cables touch
the backplane or obstruct the airflow holes in the
SCSI backplane.
