Advanced Chipset Control
Access the submenu to make changes to the following settings.
* Warning
: Take Caution when changing the Advanced settings. An incor-
rect value, a very high DRAM frequency, or an incorrect DRAM timing may
cause the system to become unstable. When this occurs, reset the setting
to the default setting.
Memory Reclaiming
Select Enable to enable the functionality of Memory Remapping above 4GB. The
settings are Enabled and Disabled.
Enable VT-d
Select Enable to enable the functionality of the Intel Virtualization Technology for
Direct I/O support, which offers fully-protected I/O resource-sharing across the
Intel platforms, providing the user with greater reliability, security and availability
in networking and data-sharing. The settings are Enabled and Disabled .
High Precision Event Time
Select Yes to activate the High Precision Event Timer (HPET), which is capable of
producing periodic interrupts at a much higher frequency than a Real-time Clock
(RTC) can in synchronizing multimedia streams, providing smooth playback and
reducing the dependency on other timestamp calculation devices, such as an
x86 RDTSC Instruction embedded in a CPU. The High Precision Event Timer
is used to replace the 8254 Programmable Interval Timer. The options for this
feature are Yes and No .
Route Port 80h Cycles to
This feature allows the user to decide which bus to send debug information to.
The options are PCI and LPC .
Legacy USB Support
This setting allows you to enable support for Legacy USB devices. The settings
are Enabled and Disabled.
USB Host Controller 1
This feature allows the user to confi gure the USB Host Controller setting for USB
Device #29 Functions 0, 1, 2, 3, 7. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
