3.2 Accessing the Chassis

Accessing the Storage Drives

To access the storage drives, pull the system out of the rack, remove the two thumb screws
on the right side of the chassis and lift. The cover is designed to open about 100 degrees
and support itself in that position.

Caution

: Except for short periods of time, do not operate the server without the cover in place.

The chassis cover must be in place to allow for proper airflow and to prevent overheating.
