Installing M.2 Solid State Drives
The X12SPO-F has two M.2 slots. M.2 was formerly known as Next Generation Form Factor
(NGFF) and serves to replace mini PCIe. M.2 allows for a variety of card sizes, increased
functionality, and spatial efficiency. The M.2 sockets on the motherboard support PCIe 3.0
x4/SATA 3 SSD cards in the 2280 and 22110 form factors.
