Cooling System
The SC862 chassis has an innovative cooling design that includes four 9-
cm hot-plug redundant system cooling (intake) fans and two 9-cm exhaust
f a n s . A l l s y s t e m f a n s ( l o c a t e d b e t w e e n t h e d r i v e b a y s a n d t h e
serverboard) operate continuously. If one fails, an alarm is activated and
the RPM of the remaining fans increase to compensate and maintain suffi-
cient airflow.
