This humidifier is intended for single-patient use only. The humidifier may be
cleaned and reused by the same person. It must not be used by more than one
person.
USE INSTRUCTIONS (FOR SINGLE-PATIENT USE)
This product is intended to be used with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), some
auto-adjusting CPAP devices, bilevel systems and non-invasive ventilation devices for the
treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
This product is not recommended for use with auto-adjusting CPAP systems that use
snoring for pressure adjustment. The humidifier is known to attenuate snoring,
which prevents the auto-adjusting CPAP from detecting most snoring.
This product should not be used with any external heat source not recommended
by Sunrise Medical.
IMPORTANT PARTS OF YOUR HUMIDIFIER (Figure 1)
The DeVilbiss Humidifier is supplied fully assembled. After removing the humidifier and tub-
ing from the packaging, inspect the chamber, o-ring seal and tubing for damage before
using. Prior to first use, the humidifier should be washed, using the

on page 6.
The DeVilbiss Model 9100D Humidifier will produce the following humidification levels at
the flow rate shown under ambient conditions of 72°F (22°C) and approximately 25% rela-
tive humidity.
At the extreme condition of minimum water level and dry ambient air (104°F/40°C, 5%
R.H), the DeVilbiss Humidifier will provide approximately 25% R.H. at the nasal mask.
