Operation conditions and instructions for Rotoset 25-R
• This tool is equipped with an electronic variable speed
tachometer selector and an overload cut-out switch, which
operates as follows:
1. Soft start
2. With increased work pressure more current is drawn , which
virtually holds speed at a constant RPM.
3. If the motor is overloaded, the electronic cuts off the power. In
this event switch at once to OFF position, restart right away to
assure cooling effect in no load mode. Repeated automatic cut
off indicates, tool is being overloaded.
Note: Never use Rotoset 25R in conjunction with another speed
control device (foot pedal or table mount) Otherwise built-in elec-
tronic variable speed control can no longer function as intented.

Operating without a speed control
Attention: Only use tools / abrasivs which can be operated at max.
operating speed of the machine.
• This machine is equipped with overload protection switch and
operates as follows:
1. Machine runs at max. operating speed.
2. With increased work pressure more current is drawn.
3. If the motor is overloaded, the protection switch cuts off the
power. In this event switch at once to OFF position, restart right
away to assure cooling effect in no load mode. Repeated auto-
matic cut off indicates, tool is being overloaded.
Operating with a speed control
(foot pedal or table mount)
If Rotoset 28 is used in conjunction with a individual speed control
unit, please refer to the respective operating manual.

Accessories
Toolholder maintenance: General
• See respective spare parts list for wear parts.
• Clean off grinding dust daily.
• Do not immerse in liquid.
• Bearings are greased for life.
• Change gear grease every 12 months. (Your SUHNER Service
Centre can perform this work quickly and efficiently.)
Change of tools / abrasives: General
• Unplug power supply before each tool change.
• Clean clamp fitting before mounting.
• Ensure flawless runout and only use low-vibration tools. It is
essential that you take note of the permissible speed in this
context.
