A contact, which - when turned off - prevents the installation from being started from el-
sewhere should be placed right near to the elevator.
4.1.2 Semi Automatic Installation
1.
Check that there are no persons or animals in the gutters or canals.
2. Always start the scrapers in the main canal, prior to pushing manure into the main canal.
3. When pushing down manure manually start at the cleaning shutter closest to the elevator, in
order to avoid that a double portion of manure enters the elevator.
4. When pushing down manure manually do not push down more into the main canal, than the
scrapers can reach to distribute it before reaching the elevator.
4.1.3 Fully Automatic Installation
1.
Check that there are no persons or animals in the gutters or canals.
2. Open the refuse shafts.
3. Turn the hydraulic valve into a position so that the hydraulic cylinder in the gutter closest to the
elevator is activated.
4. Start the hydraulic pump.
5. If there is a separate pump for the cylinders in the gutters a control box should ensure that the
pump for the elevator is always started as the first. At a stop it should be ensured that the pump
for the elevator is always stopped as the last. (The control box should be worked out by the
electrician who does the other electric installations.)
6. When the first gutter has been emptied, the hydraulic valve is turned to a new position and thus a
new canal can be emptied.

Only activate one scraper system at a time, when also the scraper system in the main canal is
running. This is to ensure a good distribution of the manure to the elevator.
4.1.4 In general
1.
Let the manure fall into the main canal. Never press the manure into the main
canal. This may lead to over-filling the canal and it may block.
2. Never throw hard or big items into the gutter or the canal. This may damage the scrapers.
4.2 How to stop the installation
4.2.1 Manuel operation
The installation is stopped by pressing the stop button at the control box.
