3.1.2.3 Insert the HP-PB Host Adapter in the Available Slot
1. Using both hands, hold the host adapter by the faceplate of board edges. Do not touch the
electronic components or the board etches.
2. Carefully align the host adapter up with the preformed grooves at the top and bottom of
the slot.
3. Gently slide the host adapter into the slot making sure that the host adapter’s external
cable connector is towards the bottom of the host computer. This assures that the board’s
internal connector properly aligns with the connector on the backplane of the host
computer (see Figure 3- 5).
