Installation
Remote Unit Leak Testing Diagram
Check all
pipes are
fully welded.
Connect the
pressure gauge to
the pipe work and
fill with dry
nitrogen to
1725kPa (250psi).
Close the
pressure gauge
and note the
pressure
reading.
Using a
soapy
solution
check all the
joints for
leaks.
If leaks exist
START
If leaks exist
If NO leaks exist
If NO leaks exist
Connect the vacuum pump
to the system and pull a
deep vacuum to a pressure
of less than 41Pa absolute
(310 microns of mercury).
Leave the system for
45 minutes. Check the
gauge reading.
Leave the
system for 24
hours. Check
the gauge
reading.
Fill the system
with refrigerant.
