Problem
Causes and Actions
The WAA is unresponsive:
The indicator light does not
turn on. The stimulation
amplitude keys do not
respond.
The WAA is not powered on.
▪
Turn the power ON.
The WAA
system has “frozen”.
▪
Turn the power OFF and wait 5 seconds
before turning the power back ON.
The battery is not charged.
▪
Recharge the battery by connecting the
WAA to the charger.
Dropped WAA: Your WAA
falls off a cabinet or table.
WAA is designed to withstand a short drop
on a hard surface and still operate normally.
Try powering ON the WAA and allow it to
transmit for 10 minutes while not worn on
the body. If the WAA appears to be
functioning properly and is not excessively
heating, try using it. On its next charge cycle,
monitor the WAA’s temperature while it is
charging to prevent the battery from getting
too hot. If the WAA seems to be heating up
excessively while charging, then unplug the
charging cable from the WAA and let it sit in
a well-ventilated area for a few minutes to
cool down. Contact your clinician.
Fluid on the WAA: Fluid was
spilled onto the WAA or the
WAA was dropped into
water.
WAA is not waterproof, and water can
damage the device.
▪
Immediately remove the WAA from the
water, then dry the WAA with a towel
damped with clean tap water. Unplug the
power cord and allow the WAA to dry at
room temperature for 24-48 hours.
WAA is heating up during
operation.
The WAA will heat up during heavy
operation, just like your cell phone will be
warm during heavy usage. Make sure to
keep the WAA ventilated during operation.
Do not place the WAA directly on your skin.
Do not cover the WAA with layers of
clothing or fabric. If the temperature
becomes uncomfortable then discontinue
use, remove the WAA from near your body
and contact your clinician.
