(F) The battery carrier extends.

 WARNING

Risk of crushing!
Never reach under the battery to remove obstacles.

–

Retract the battery and remove the obstacle.

–

Make sure that the battery cable is not dam-

aged when the battery carrier is extended.

–

(G) Disconnect the battery male connector

from the plug connection of the truck.

After extending the battery fully

–

Place a rubber mat on any batteries that

have exposed terminals or connectors to

prevent short circuits.

–

(H) Remove the battery from the carrier us-

ing suitable lifting gear. For more informa-

tion see the section entitled "Transporting

the battery by crane".

–

Ensure that the truck is parked at a suffi-

cient distance from any obstacles to prevent

damaging the truck when lifting the battery

using a crane.
