Holding and Controlling the Power Tool
Make sure you always have good
balance and secure footing.
Always hold the power tool firmly with
both hands on the handles.
Right hand on control handle, left hand
on loop handle, even if you are left-
handed. Wrap fingers and thumbs firmly
around the handles.
The machine can be carried on a
shoulder strap to relieve the weight on
the operator's arms.
During Operation
In the event of impending danger or in
an emergency, switch off the engine
immediately by moving the slide control
/ stop switch/button to STOP or 0.
To reduce the risk of injury from falling
objects, do not allow bystanders within a
radius of 15 meters of your own position.
To reduce the risk of damage to
property, also maintain this distance
from other objects (vehicles, windows).
Maintain a minimum clearance of 15 m
between the tips of the rakes and
electric power lines. Electricity can jump
considerable distances by means of
arcing. Higher voltage increases the
distance electricity can arc. Have the
power switched off before starting work
in the immediate vicinity of power lines.
The correct engine idle speed is
important to ensure that the attachment
stops moving when you let go of the
throttle trigger. Check and correct the
idle speed setting regularly. If the
attachment still moves when the engine
is idling, have your dealer check your
machine and make proper adjustments
or repairs – see KombiEngine instruction
manual.
Note that the rakes and tines continue to
run for a short period after you let go of
the throttle trigger (flywheel effect).
Take special care in slippery conditions
on slopes and uneven ground.
Watch out for obstacles: Roots and tree
stumps which could cause you to trip or
stumble.
Clear away fallen branches and scrub
from the work area.
Keep the rakes and tines clear of foreign
objects – such objects may be caught
and thrown and damage the rakes and
tines.
Make sure you always have good
balance and secure footing.
When working at heights:
–
Always use a lift bucket
–
Never work on a ladder or in a tree
–
Never work on an insecure support
–
Never operate your power tool with
one hand
Be particularly alert and cautious when
wearing hearing protection because
your ability to hear warnings (shouts,
alarms, etc.) is restricted.
To reduce the risk of accidents, take a
break in good time to avoid tiredness or
exhaustion.

This power tool is not
insulated against electric
shock. To reduce the risk
of electrocution maintain
a minimum clearance of
15 m from electric power
lines.
5m (17ft)
15m (50ft)
The gearhead becomes
hot during operation. To
reduce the risk of burn
injury, do not touch the
gear housing.
