Depending on the machine and
equipment version, the following
pictograms may appear on the machine.
Symbols in text
WARNING
Warning where there is a risk of an
accident or personal injury or serious
damage to property.
NOTICE
Caution where there is a risk of
damaging the machine or its individual
components.
Engineering improvements
STIHL's philosophy is to continually
improve all of its products. For this
reason we may modify the design,
engineering and appearance of our
products periodically.
Therefore, some changes, modifications
and improvements may not be covered
in this manual.
Comply with national safety regulations
issued, e.g. by employers' liability
insurance associations, social security
institutions, occupational safety and
health authorities or other organizations.
As for employers within the European
Community, the provision 2009/104/EC
is binding – Safety and health protection
with the use of machines and devices by
employees at work
Anyone using the engine-driven device
for the first time: Let a shop assistant or
expert explain you the safe handling – or
take part in a training course.
Minors are not allowed to work with the
engine-driven device – except
adolescents above 16 years of age, who
where instructed under supervision.
