15.  Maintenance

WARNING Electrocution

Carry out all electrical connection and installation work

in accordance with relevant regulations.

WARNING Electrocution

Before any work on the appliance, disconnect all poles

of the appliance from the power supply.

Draining the DHW cylinder

CAUTION Burns

Hot water may escape during draining.

f

f

Close the shut-off valve in the cold water inlet line.

f

f

Open the hot water taps on all draw-off points.

f

f

Drain the DHW cylinder via the "cold water inlet" connection.

f

f

Drain the heat exchanger via the drain valve.

Checking the DHW cylinder

f

f

Inspect the appliance via the control aperture (see chapter

"Specification / Dimensions and connections").

Checking / replacing the protective anode

f

f

Check the protective anode after the first two years of use

and replace if necessary. Check that the maximum transition

resistance between the protective anode and the cylinder is

0.3 Ω. If it is not possible to insert a rod anode from above,

install a segmented anode.

f

f

Decide the intervals in which further checks should be car-

ried out.

Checking the diaphragm expansion vessel

f

f

Shut off the diaphragm expansion vessel from the system at

the cap valve.

f

f

Drain the diaphragm expansion vessel at the drain valve of

the cap valve.

f

f

Check the pre-charge pressure of the diaphragm expansion

vessel using a pressure gauge.

f

f

Refit the protective cap to the fill valve.

f

f

Unblock the diaphragm expansion vessel at the cap valve. If

required, re-seal the aperture.
