PREPARING THE INSTALLATION (CONTINUED)
PREPARING THE CEILING STRUCTURE
The ceiling structure to which the unit is attached must be surveyed and found able to safely accept
attachment fasteners, and be sufficient in strength to support the weight of the system System weights
can exceed 1200 lbs (544 kg)
If the ceiling is sloped, structural arrangement must be furnished which levels the mounting plate and
governs the vertical position of the plate Simple chain or cable is not adequate
Be sure that there is sufficient clearance in the area where the unit will operate so that no object interferes
with the path of the cables and the screen
UNPACKING
The Cable Climber system ships fully assembled and rigged The mounting plate is loosely arrayed on
the top of the screen case The screen case and mounting plate must be extracted from the crating, and
elevated into the hanging position as a pair
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The control system, normally two Low Voltage Control units, is attached to the mounting plate A 120 volt,
20 amp dedicated circuit is required for operation of the unit Eight Class II conductors are required to
control the cable and screen motors
Note:
Your location may use 120 V, 220 V or other electrical power Screen systems are manufactured
using the electrical power type specified for the location Use appropriate power sources for your
location
