Fit and “tack glue” former F13 (sheet 05/10, 1/20 in. balsa) to the slots in the fuselage sides
behind
former F12.
17.
Fit and bond part F14a (sheet 10/10, 1/32 in. ply) into the set of notches immediately in
front
of former F8.
18.
Wrap the wing center section panel, part F14b (sheet 01/10, 1/20 in. balsa) over the
top
of
the passenger cabin. Orient the arrows on F14b so that they point
forward
. Bond with CA.
19.
Assemble the fuselage
top
from parts F15a (sheet 04/10, 1/20 in. balsa) and F15b (sheet
02/10, 1/20 in. balsa). Bond with CA.
20.
Fit the fuselage
top
to the notches and tabs on the fuselage sides and formers. Wrap F15b
over the very end of the fuselage. Square the fuselage assembly on the work surface and
“final bond” with CA.
21.
Fuselage Bottom –
Turn the fuselage assembly
upside down
. Fit part F16 (sheet 10/10,
1/32 in. ply) into the oversized notches in the fuselage sides, and to the oversized slots in
part F7, immediately
behind
former F5. F16 will rest in the
forward
portion of these slots
and notches.
Do not bond at this time.
22.
Fit F17 (sheet 10/10, 1/32 in. ply) immediately
behind
and flush against F16.
Do not bond.
