Connect the motor lead to the socket at the
rear
of the receiver brick.

Landing Gear:
Bend the landing gear from the .032 in. x 12 in. wire, over the pattern on the
Landing Gear Detail
drawing on the plan set. Accuracy is critical for a good fit.
70.
Mount the 1 1/8 in. plastic wheels supplied in the kit to the landing gear wire. Bend the
axles
up
90 degrees, to retain the wheels. Trim off the excess wire.
71.
Slit the covering over the landing gear pocket, and slide the landing gear in place. Ensure
that the landing gear is properly seated, then press ply part LG (sheet XX/08, 3/32 in. balsa)
into the slot until it is flush with the
bottom
of the fuselage. Wick a little CA along the
landing gear pocket, and where the landing gear wire exits the pocket, to secure it in place.
72.
Remove the covering over the two holes at the
rear
of the fuselage where the sub-fin
attaches to the fuselage.
“
Fit and final bond” the sub-fin to the fuselage
bottom
. Wick
medium CA along the seam where the sub-fin mates with the fuselage.
73.
Fit the finished wing pylon to the fuselage. Make sure that the
front
of the pylon faces
forward
. The tab at the
bottom
of the wing pylon will fit in the slot in the
middle
of the
central fuselage crutch. Access this slot through the radio compartment. Wick CA around
the slot and tab. Ensure that no glue contacts the receiver board or the servos.
Wick medium CA along the seam where the pylon mates with the
top
of the fuselage.
