FIG. H –AUTO RETURN (option)
The optional Auto Return (AR) function returns the dockleveller to the parked position after (un)loading, with a single touch of the
‘AR’ button. This option is available with the SSC, SCD and SMC boxes (not on the SBC box). A sensor detects the edge of the
frontangle just before the deck reaches its highest position. The pump shuts off as soon as the edge of the frontangle is detected and
the deck will descend to the parked position.
Mounting and adjustment instructions (when the sensor is already installed step 3 and 4 can be skipped):
1. Move the deck to its highest position and position the maintenance
support.
2. Switch the main switch to "0".
3. Attach the mounting bracket with the hose clamp (pos. 4) to the main
cylinder, see figures H-2 and H-3 (the sensor comes next to the
hydraulic unit).
4. Connect sensor cable (pos. 5) in the controlbox, see figure H-4.
5. Make sure the hose clamp (pos. 4) is loose and slide the sensor along the
cylinder so the edge of the front angle is within the range of the sensor.
6. Tighten the bolt of the hose clamp (pos. 4).
Adjustment instructions to detect the edge of the frontangle:
1. Loosen the sensor mounting bracket (pos. 1).
2. Adjust the distance (X) to approximately 5 mm (the maximum reach (X)
of the sensor is 8 mm, see figure H-5).
3. Tighten all bolts
To test the Auto Return function:
1. Remove the maintenance support.
2.
Press the ‘AR’ button briefly. If the Auto Return is set correctly:
- The deck rises until the pump shuts off.
- The deck returns to the parked position.
3. If the Auto Return is not set correctly, readjust the sensor (the sensor has
a LED that goes on when the sensor is activated).
a) If the deck does not rise high enough, increase distance X.
b) If the lip extends, decrease distance X.
