XC880A OWNERS MANUAL
2. If the entered number is found, the data is displayed and may be
changed or left as it is. Once the record is edited, the scale will return
to its previous state.
Press RESET at any time to cancel the operation. The scale returns to
its previous state.
5.3.1 APW Guard
The XC880A contains a feature to guard against possible
erroneous changes made to the APW when editing records. If after editing
the average piece weight, the value was changed by 2% or greater, the
operator will be alerted, and prompted to recalculate the APW.
If the operator chooses to recalculate, the XC880A will prompt for
samples to be loaded, and the APW will be recalculated using these
samples. (See section 2.2.4).
If the operator chooses not to recalculate, the scale prompts to
override the error. If chosen, the error flag is removed and the newly
entered APW becomes the value used when the part is called. If the
operator does not override the flag, then the old APW will be used. Any
subsequent calls of this part number will again cause the operator to be
prompted to validate the APW, or override the flag.
Note:
If password protection is enabled, and the operator chooses to
override the APW flag, the proper password must be entered before the
flag will be removed.
