control pass through the table control board at
P5 but bypass the microprocessor control. Thus,
even with minimal primary circuit functions
available, the backup system is likely to be
operational. It can be used for emergency
operation or for troubleshooting the solenoid
valves it controls (floor lock, back, leg, trend,
height, tilt, kidney-all using foot pump; slide is
electric only).
b.
Auto Limit Sensor (ALS) is the anti-collision
system which operates on feedback from table
position sensors and is not active while using
the backup hand control because
microprocessor functions are bypassed.
9.
Sensor calibration is required for the Auto Limit
Sensor (ALS) anti-collision system to work
properly. During calibration, feedback signals
from the position sensors are read by the table
control board microprocessor and stored in flash
memory. These values are then used together with
the known table geometry already programmed in
the software to limit the movements of the table
sections to prevent physical collision with the floor
or other parts of the table.
3.4.3 Intelli-Strip Description
An illuminating indicator tells whether line or battery
power is in use and a bar graph gives the state of the
battery charge. The bar graph has two colors, yellow
(four LEDs) and green (six LEDs), showing the state of
battery discharge as follows:
1. When facility power is connected and power switch
is closed:
• Battery Power LED below the bar graph is OFF.
• Line Power LED below the bar graph is ON and
Hand Control indicates system is operating on
line power.
• Bar graph LED segments indicate the state of
battery charge as follows:
2. When facility power is not connected (cord not
connected or power switch is open):
• Line Power LED below the bar graph is OFF.
• When master control board is not activated,
Battery Power LED below bar graph is OFF.
• When master control board is activated, Battery
Power LED below bar graph is ON and Hand
Control indicates system is operating on battery
power.
• Bar graph LED segments indicate the state of
battery discharge as follows:
3. Power supply controller sends the following signals
to master control board:
• Battery voltage sensing level.
• Thermal protection state of transformer.
• Measured voltage difference between two
batteries (0.6 V maximum allowed difference).
• Presense of ac line power.
• Defective battery protection (open fuse).
• Charger defective (charger fuse F1 open).
• State of MOSFET that drives hydraulic pump
commands (if MOSFET is shorted, motherboard
can detect it and turn OFF power to pump).
4. Master control board sends following signals to
power supply controller:
• Signal to turn bargraph ON and OFF.
• Command MOSFET to conduct power to pump
(driving with PWM signal).
