◊ vacuuM claMps sET
A set of vacuum clamps is supplied with the edge
bander:
They can be arranged to best hold the workpiece with
respect to its shape and weight. They can be attached
to a work surface by mean of:
For first 2 methods, remove the lower vacuum cups for
fixing the vacuum clamp to the work surface by mean
of C clamps or the screws.
When choosing to fix with the vacuum cups, stick a
circular rubber mat on the work surface where the
vacuum cup will be. Make sure work surface is smooth
and clean prior to sticking it in position. Remove the
backing and apply the circular rubber mat to the work
surface. Clean the vacuum cup and apply it tightly on
the rubber mat and actuate the lower clamping lever to
create suction and fix to the work surface.
Clean the upper vacuum cups, place the clean smooth
workpiece, apply perpendicular hand pressure on the
workpiece and actuate the upper clamping lever
to create suction.
1. Fix with C clamp. 2. Fix with screw. 3. Fix with vacuum
suckers.
iMpOrTanT nOTE during OpEraTiOn:
• The suction force and the suction period of time might
be affected by the quality, smoothness and flatness of
the workpiece, the dust on it and the size and weight of
the workpiece.
• For large production and for lengthy holding period of
time, an optional electric vacuum kit is available to
provide a more stable holding .
• Always pay attention and use precaution to the potential
of losing suction while edgebanding , which may
cause a dangerous situation.
• For large workpiece, multiple vacuum clamps are
required for stable operation and to reduce risk of losing
suction.
