The optionally available diagnostics communication module (DCM) of type 9415 is
installed on the intended slot on the bus-Carrier (also see the 9415 operating
instructions).
• In order to read out diagnostics information for the individual segments
(Advanced Physical Layer Parameter) from the FPS devices in the carrier.
• In order to transmit diagnostics information over a segment to the bus-Carrier or a
separate diagnostics segment to the control system.
The following bus-Carriers are currently available for the linking device:
• 9419/04F-LD1-01E1: simplex power supply (FPS) for 4 fieldbus segments and
1 linking device
