8.5 Termination
At the end of a DMX512 data cable a 120
Ω
resistor has to be
connected. The SP218UXL does this for input A and input B
automatically as soon as the power is switched on. Optimal wise
one a data line basing on the RS485 interface standard also should
have a termination at the beginning. For this reason the SP218UXL
has a 120
Ω
resistance for every output. This resistor may be
deactivated separately for every output by the jumpers J6 to J13.
By opening the jumpers the signal level can be increased when
required.

Connector IN A is equipped for two DMX512 universes with one
cable and has the following pin assignment:
