10. MAINTENANCE
Maintenance topics are presented below in the following order: error
messages, lubrication of the shoulder area, lubrication of the stride area,
glide rail cleaning, maintenance schedule, task list, one-year maintenance
log, and electronics block diagram.
MAINTENANCE
Error Messages
The following messages can appear on this product for diagnostic purposes.
- - -
(Three flashing lines) - Indication: The unit is entering the energy saving
mode. The main display will shut off, and keys will remain lit. To reactivate
the unit, press a key or exercise on it.
ERROR 1 -
Indication: The ICARE E872MA motor is operating but no speed
sensor signal is detected. Under this condition, the ICARE E872MA motor
will not operate.
ERROR 2 -
Indication: The ICARE E872MA motor is experiencing a current
overload. Under this condition, the ICARE E872MA motor will not operate.
ERROR 7 -
Indication: The stride mechanism is not calibrated properly.
Contact a certified SportsArt technician. The technician will need to either
calibrate or replace the stride mechanism.
ERROR 8

Indication: There is a communication issue between the drive
board and the display. Only after normal communication resumes will the
unit operate properly.
ERROR 14 -
Indication: The ICARE E872MA motor is overheated. Only after
the ICARE E872MA motor cools will the unit operate.
MAINTENANCE
Infrared Sensor Angle Adjustment
For safety, this product is equipped with an infrared sensor. If the user falls
into the path of moving parts, the sensor is designed to shut off the ICARE
E872MA motor.
The position of this sensor may occasionally require adjustment. If the LED
on the front sensor extinguishes, follow instructions (a) through (c) to align
the infrared sensor.
(a) To access the sensor, remove the pedestal base covers (A3).
(b) A: Loosen but do not remove screws on the side of the infrared sensor.
