STEP 7 Install the Footplates
Follow steps (a) through
(d) to install footplates.
(a) Remove screws (28)
(30) from the footplate
mount on the pedal
carriage and cushions
as shown.
(b) Set the footplate
mount onto the cushion
and secure the screws
(30). Follow the same
procedure on both
sides.
STEP 7 Install the Footplates, Continued
(c) Detach and lift the front and back part of the footplate cushion without
detaching the center
(area A). Use screws
(28) to secure the
footplate onto its mount
on the pedal carriage.
Secure area B first, then
secure area C. Insert
the nibs on the cushion
through the holes in the
footplate. Make sure
that the nibs protrude
through the footplate
(A10).
(d) Note the proper
direction of the safety
straps. If installed
incorrectly, the safety
straps will hang
downward. Safety straps
should face upward.
Secure the safety straps
onto the sides of the
pedal carriage.
