How old does a dog have to be before
using the TEK Series 1.5 GPS Tracking /
GPS Tr E-Collar System?
Your dog should be able to learn basic obedience commands such
as “Sit” or “Stay”. The collar may be too large for dogs under 8
pounds. Fits neck sizes 10.75” - 23.”
Is the GPS Collar with optional E-Collar
Module waterproof?
Yes. It is waterproof and can be submerged in water to a depth of
25 feet.
Can my GPS Collar with optional
E-Collar Module be used around
salt water?
If the collar is used in or around salt water, the collar should be
rinsed with fresh water following each use.
Is the TEK Series 1.5 GPS Tracking / GPS
Tr E-Collar System capable of
multi-dog tracking/training?
Yes. The TEK Series 1.5 GPS Tracking / GPS Tr E-Collar
Systems are expandable to a maximum of 12 dogs. Additional
collars must be purchased separately (see back cover).
Can I use the TEK Series 1.5 GPS
Tracking / GPS Tr E-Collar
System on aggressive dogs?
We do not recommend any of our products be used on aggressive
dogs. We recommend that you contact your local veterinarian or
professional trainer to determine if your dog might be aggressive.
Will I get exactly 7 miles of range with
the TEK Series 1.5 GPS Tracking / GPS
Tr E-Collar System?
The range you get with your TEK Series 1.5 GPS Tracking / GPS
Tr E-Collar System will vary according to terrain,
weather, and vegetation. To get the maximum amount of range,
please refer to ”HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS” on page 5.
Can I attach a leash/lead to the GPS
Collar?
DO NOT attach a leash/lead to the GPS Collar. You may put a
separate non-metallic collar strap on your dog’s neck and attach
a leash/lead. If the E-Collar Module is installed, be sure the extra
collar does not interfere with the Contact Points.
Can I add maps to the TEK Series 1.5
GPS Tracking / GPS Tr E-Collar
System?
No. Maps cannot be added to your TEK Series 1.5 GPS Tracking /
GPS Tr E-Collar System.

System to work with my other SportDOG
®

Can I organize the way the dogs are
displayed on the tracking/training
screen?
Yes. See “To Set The Order In Dog Lists” on page 22.
How many dogs can I share?
You can share up to 12 dogs. Sharing a dog is the same as adding a
dog to an available slot on your Handheld Device.
Do I need to recalibrate my compass
when I change locations?
For best results it is recommended that the compass be calibrated
after you arrive at a new starting location.
How many way points can I store?
You can store up to 20 way points, which includes if you set a way
point specific to your starting location.
Will the TEK Series 1.5 GPS Tracking /
GPS Tr E-Collar System
interfere with my CB radio?
No. Your TEK Series 1.5 GPS Tracking / GPS Tr E-Collar
System will not cause interference with your CB radio.
