8.5 GEOMETRY ADJUSTMENT
The geometry is adjusted mechanically. The mower operator evaluates whether the geometry needs to be adjusted
or not.
If you do not have the necessary equipment and experience, have this work done by a specialist.
If the signal between the remote control and the machine is lost (eg a discharged remote control battery,
by pressing the STOP button on the remote control or the CENTRAL STOP button on the machine), the
mower drive and travel servomotors automatically return to their home position!
Always make sure that the remote-control battery is fully charged when working with the mower deck and
when driving, so that the signal is not unexpectedly interrupted and the control rods and tensioner pulleys
do not move. There is a risk of injury!
GEOMETRY ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE FOR SKID-STEERING MACHINES
so that the frame is in contact with the floor and the
wheels are lifted free from the ground.
2) Hold down the skid-steering button until the wheels slightly deflect, then release
the button - the wheels will return to the initial position (zero position). Turn off
engine but keep remote control connected.
3) Remove the engine and side chassis covers.
4) Loosen the 2 screws on the sensor on the rear wheel.
(3 mm Allen key).
5) Apply a straight bar to the wheel portals.
6) Turn the sensor gently to turn the wheels until they are parallel.
7) If one wheel is misaligned, loosen the 3 bolts on the portal sprocket
(13 mm spanner). Then manually align the wheel until it is parallel with the
other wheel on the same side.
8) Once the two wheels are parallel, tighten the bolts on the sensor and then
the bolts on the rear sprocket.
9) Adjust the second side in the same way.
10) The machine is ready for use.
