Release the LASER/SCAN button to record the measurement.  The MEM field on the LCD’s 
Main Screen increments to display the memory slot of the scan that was just acquired. 

 
 

Additional target measurements may be made by pressing and releasing the LASER/SCAN 
switch. 

 
 

Downloading Stand-alone Measurements 

 

To view and analyze the data acquired in stand-alone mode, the data must be downloaded from the 
memory of the instrument to a computer running the Windows PC operating system.  In order to 
download data, the PC Data Acquisition Software must be installed on the Windows PC (See Section 2 – 
PC Data Acquisition Software – INSTALLATION for instructions on how to install this software). 

Downloading also requires a connection between the instrument and the PC; see the sub-section above “2. 
Connecting The Instrument To A Computer” in order to establish this connection. 

Once the instrument/PC connection is established, refer to the following sub-sections in Section 2 – PC 
Data Acquisition Software in order to download the stand-alone measurements to the PC:

See “Control->Setup Overlap/Matching…” for instructions on how to configure these 
settings, as they are applied to both downloaded and newly acquired spectral data.

4. PC Data Acquisition 

 

The same general rules regarding Reference and Target measurement acquisition (described above in sub-
section 3.  Stand-Alone Data Acquisition) apply when acquiring data using the PC Data Acquisition 
software. Please read and understand those rules. 

Connect the instrument and the Windows PC; see the sub-section above 2. Connecting The Instrument To 
A Computer in order to establish this connection. 

Once the instrument/PC connection is established, refer to the following sub-sections in Section 2 – PC 
Data Acquisition Software in order to acquire new measurements on the PC:

See “Control->Setup Overlap/Matching…” for instructions on how to configure theses 
settings, as they are applied to both downloaded and newly acquired spectral data.

equivalent keyboard hot-keys “R”, “T”, and “D”) to acquire spectral data.
