5. Coupling bolts must be tightened evenly and crosswise. The permitted torque
must be ensured with a torque wrench.
Torque M 6 : 16 Nm
M 8 : 22 Nm (aluminium coupling, up to 4.0 kW)
M 8 : 30 Nm (steel and grey cast iron coupling, 5.5 kW and over)
M 10 : 70 Nm
When correctly fitted the steel couplings lie flush with each other and the grey
cast iron couplings have the same gap distance on both sides.
4. The pump shaft has an axial clearance
of approx. 4 mm. The correct position of
the hydraulic package is in the middle of
the axial clearance. The hydraulic pack -
age must therefore be raised by approx.
2 mm and then fixed into position before
final tightening of the coupling bolts. Mo-
tors over 7.5 kW must be fitted with a
fixed bearing which alleviates strain on
the couplings that could otherwise result
in the motor shaft being lifted out of its
bearings.
