Important hints for repair work
Disassembly:
Replacement of the mechanical seal:
Switch off the pump and disconnect it from the power supply. The replacement
of the mechanical seal has to be done by an expert. The mechanical seal
(433) always has to be replaced completely
. To do so it is necessary to
disassemble the pump.
Removing of the impeller:
The impeller is screwed onto the motor shaft (right-handed internal screw thread).
Put a screwdriver into the slot of the motor shaft (fan side) hold it and unscrew
the impeller.
Disassembly of the aluminium ring:
It is not necessary to unscrew the pressure casing (107) from the motor (800).
Lever the aluminium ring by using a large screw driver (e.g. size 10) pressing it
against the outside wall of the aluminium ring.
Assembly:
Assembly of the new lock ring:
Slightly moisten the sleeve of the complete lock ring with soap water and press
it in evenly with both thumbs.
Also slightly moisten the impeller hub with soap water and press the mechanical
seal (433) on to the impeller hub regularly with both thumbs.
If it is necessary to disassemble the pressure casing (107) from the motor,
make sure that the four bolts M8 (563) are loosened evenly, following a 90º
pattern, one after the other a little at a time.
Re-assembly is done in reverse order; place the pressure casing with bolts onto
the motor flange and tighten evenly, following a 90º pattern, one after the other
a little at a time (see picture next side).
