Setting up and Adjustment

Setting up and adjustment

Height adjustment

To achieve major adjustment to height of cut; reposition the two side plates
attached to the rear roller.  A finer adjustment to cut can be achieved by
lengthening or shortening the top link of the tractor

(Fig. 2).

Warning
In certain conditions it may be necessary to remove
rear scraper from roller if problems of clogging occur,
if fitted.

Mechanical offset

The linkage ‘A’ frame (Fig. 3) can be moved along the tube to obtain numerous
settings from central to fully offset by simply slackening the clamping bolts,
positioning the ‘A’ frame and re-tightening the bolts.  Remember to regularly
check that these bolts are tight.

Warning
Do not exceed 20° on PTO shaft, continuous use at
an angle will shorten the life of the PTO shaft.

Optional Hydraulic Offset

Is operated by the tractor external spool valves to slide the head stock to give the desired offset.
Raise mower and stop PTO before using hydraulic offset.

Lubricate sliding tubes with grease, to prevent damage to bushes.
