AUXILIARY HANDLE
The auxiliary handle 8 is fastened by built-in
screw to the wheel guard. Operating the ma-
chine without the auxiliary handle is not al-
lowed.
The auxiliary handle for these models is con-
nected to the body of the machine through vi-
bration dampers, protecting the operator and
reducing fatigue.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
This power tool is equipped with an electronic
device to accomplish the following functions:
-
Soft start and restriction of the starting
current. This ensures starting the machine
without jerks and prevents occurring voltage
fluctuations in the supply network;
-
Maintaining constant speed in a wide
range of loading;
-
Protection from brief overloads. Upon
major brief overloads a current overload pro-
tection actuates, which reduces the rotation
speed. To resume normal operation withdraw
the machine from the material.
-
Thermal overload protection. Upon minor
long overloads, the thermal overload protection
actuates and switches the motor off prior to
reaching critical temperature values. The ma-
chine switches from operation mode to safety
mode specified with low motor speed. The
machine is disabled. In safety mode the motor
rotates at low rpm to accelerate cooling, but the
machine is DISABLED. To resume operation
after cooling down for approximately 3-5 min,
switch the trigger off and on again.
-
Safety upon mains drop-out. In case of
mains drop-out or unplugging for more than
0,5 s the power tool ceases operation even if
the ON/OFF switch is locked in ON position. To
resume normal function of the power tool, first
switch off and then switch on the lever of ON/
OFF switch.
GROOVE CHASING (Fig.2)
Always guide the tool with both hands. Place
the machine on the front roller guides (1), pull
the handle up, so both diamond wheels can
rotate freely. Switch on the machine. After the
wheels gain speed, drop the machine down
smoothly and feed it into the material (2). Push
the tool smoothly along the groove (3). Take
the wheels out of the groove and switch off the
machine after you have finished work with the
tool. Lay down the machine on its side with the
cutting wheels aside from the operator. Do not
force the wheels to stop. Never press the lock
button 15 while the wheels are still rotating!
DUST EXTRACTION
The dust separated during operation is harm-
ful to your health. The wall chaser must be op-
erated only with dust extraction. Wear a dust
mask as well. The vacuum cleaner should be
appropriate for stone dust suction. We recom-
mend the use of a vacuum cleaner for industrial
purposes, with specifications: minimum airflow
60 l/s and minimum suction force (vacuum)
180 mbar. Mount the dust extraction pipe 16 on
the guard nozzle 1 and connect to the vacuum
cleaner.
STATICS REQUIREMENTS
WARNING:
The places to be
processed shall be checked in advance for
hidden electric wires, gas and water pipes.
Groove chasing in walls is liable to the
regulations in DIN 1053, part 1 or standards,
specific for the country. These requirements
must be strictly observed. Before starting to
operate the wall chaser, consult the person
in charge of statics, the architect or the
responsible expert. The permitted groove
depth and width depend on groove length,
the wall thickness and structure.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Utilize the wheels only in the materials, marked
on the wheels. Feed the machine smoothly and
avoid overloading. Watch for the wearing out of
the wheels and replace them when consider-
able drop of efficiency is observed.
