1. SPARKe
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The SPARKe mobile workstation is designed to be used in hospitals
by healthcare professionals, to collect and manage digital patient
data with a laptop or a pc.
When designing this model, we have cooperated with, for example,
the ergonomics experts of the Finnish Institute of Occupational
Health and several product users.
2. ACCEPTANCE INSPECTION
The items must be inspected as they arrive, in the presence of the
driver. If there is any transport damage, it should be noted in the
transport document. If the driver does not have time to wait for
the inspection, a reservation should be marked in the transport
document.
In case of any damage, contact the seller. Check that all parts listed
in the shipping list are included in the shipment.
Remarks of product quality or delivery content should be made
within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Sparke does not replace
reclamations made after 7 days.
2.1. Structure:
* the mobile workstation’s overall dimensions have been de-
signed to be as small as possible so that it is easy to use also
in confined spaces
* you can use a laptop, mouse and separate keyboard when
working at the workstation
* installing and removing a laptop is easy and can be done
without any tools
* it is possible to lock a laptop to the workstation
* transporting the workstation is easy with the attached pull
handle
* a computer, keyboard or mouse can remain on the workstati-
on during transport
* the workstation is easy to move around
* the wheels revolve and can be locked
* the workstation is easy to clean
* the workstation has been designed so that it does not have
any sharp edges or corners
* accessories are available according to your needs
2.2. Ergonomic use of the workstation
* adjust the height according to your needs with the foot pedal,
so that your arms are almost at a 90-degree angle and that it
is possible to support them on the stand when working
* you can use the workstation either standing up or with a high
seat because of its wide adjustment range (800-1200 mm)
* the mouse can be used either on the right or left hand side
near the keyboard
* walking with the workstation is easy end effortless
* work with your back straight near the workstation
3. USE
The product is meant to be used in normal and dry indoor con-
ditions, in room temperature b10 - +50 C and humidity
between 30–60 %. The product is delivered pre-assembled and pac-
kaged in recycled cardboard.
Prior to use:
* make sure all packaging material has been removed
* make sure the height adjustment can operate freely
Misusing the product or failure to comply with instructions can
lead to dangerous situations, which can cause injuries to patients
or personnel. Consequently, follow the correct ways of using the
product and the instructions for handling it.
3.1. Workstation functions and adjustments
There are several adjustments you can make to ease your work at
the workstation. When adjusted ergonomically, the workstation is
comfortable to use. It is important that all users are trained how to
use and adjust the workstation correctly.
3.2. Locking the wheels
SPARKe is equipped with lockable front wheels. You can lock a
wheel with the attached lock pedal. When the pedal is in the down
position, the wheel is locked. When the wheel is in the up position,
the wheel moves freely.
If it feels like the workstation is hard to move around, check that
there aren’t any obstructions stopping the wheels from moving.
