Troubleshooting
SAMPLING
SUSPENDED
Patient is not
monitored
SERVICE REQUIRED -
Send for repair
■ Defective hardware.
■ Multigas analyzer self-test
failure.
■ Invalid option programming.
■ Invalid or corrupt EEPROM
configurations
■ Check for power to the multigas
analyzer and the interface board
as follows:
• J501:
Pin 7-12 V ±0.50 V
Pin 10+12 V ±0.50 V
Pin 11+5 V ±0.25 V
• J720 :
Pin 5-12 V ±0.50 V
Pin 7+3.3 V ±0.25 V
Pin 8+12 V ±0.25 V
Pin 9+5 V ±0.25 V

field service engineer

■ An internal communication
error was detected. ■ Troubleshoot multigas analyzer;
start by replacing OEM multigas
bench.
■ Return the multigas analyzer to
Spacelabs Healthcare for repair.
SERVICE CAL MODE -
Patient is not
monitored ■ Service Calibration menu is
displayed
■ Touch NORMAL SCREEN to exit
this mode.
NO BREATH
DETECTED ■ Breaths are not detected for
a duration equal to the
APNEA timeout duration ■ Verify sensor is properly
connected to the patient.
Message will clear after three
breaths are detected, or the
ACKNOWLEDGE ALARM key is
touched.
CAL GAS IN
PROGRESS ■ CAL GAS calibration is in
progress. ■ Wait until CAL GAS calibration is
completed and the message
goes away.
ZERO IN PROGRESS ■ A Zero calibration is in
progress. ■ Wait until Zero calibration is
completed and the message
goes away.
