Connecting optional 

components

Connect optional components

You can enjoy the sound from an optional 

component, such as a portable digital music 

player, through the speakers of this unit.

Be sure to turn off the power of each 

component before making any connections.

  Connect the AUDIO IN jack to the 

line output jack of the portable 
digital music player or other 
components using an audio 
connecting cable (not supplied).

Use a cable that has a stereo mini plug 

on one end for connection to this unit, 

and a suitable plug for connection to the 

external device.

  Press OPERATE.

  Turn the connected component on.

For details, refer to the instruction 

manual of the component to be 

connected.

  Press AUDIO IN.

  Start playing sound on the 

connected component.

Sound comes from the speaker on the 

unit.

Notes

 The audio cable to use differs depending on the 

external device. Use an audio cable suitable for 

the external device you are connecting. 

 If volume is low, first adjust the volume of the 

external device. If volume is still low, turn up the 

volume of the unit.

 When disconnecting the external device, also 

remove the audio cable.
