Recording DVDs with Simple DVD Maker (models PCV-RX305 and PCV-RX306)

Sound format
: Click and then select the sound format you want to use when creating DVDs. With
Dolby Digital, sound is compressed before it is recorded onto DVDs. Compared to PCM, Dolby Digital
allows longer recordings.
With PCM, sound is recorded on DVDs without compression.

Recording Time
: The audio format cannot be changed if the
Movie file
list contains files or a DV
device. Delete the added files or cancel image capture from the DV device, and then change the
audio format.

Work Folder
: Click the
Browse
button, then specify the work folder you want to use when creating
DVDs.

When you have finished changing the settings, click
OK
.
The dialog box closes and your settings are made.
Playing back your recorded DVDs
For details on playing DVD discs on your computer, refer to the
Hardware Guide
. Otherwise, refer to the
Help files for the DVD player or DVD playback software you are using.
When you display the DVD menu from your DVD player or DVD playback software, the menu that appears
is the one created by Simple DVD Maker.

DVD playback is not possible on a CD-ROM drive or CD-RW drive.

Discs created using CD-R/RW discs can be played back on the CD-ROM or CD-RW drive of a computer, as
well as a computer DVD drive.

Discs created using CD-R/RW discs cannot be played back on an ordinary DVD player. For details, refer to
the
Hardware Guide
or operating instructions of your DVD player.
