Recording DVDs with Simple DVD Maker (models PCV-RX305 and PCV-RX306)
66
Precautions during recording
❑
If any of the following occurs, Simple DVD Maker stops loading the movie file from the DV device and
starts creating the DVD:
❑
The maximum time set for loading movies is exceeded.
❑
A blank space lasting 2 minutes or longer is detected on the digital video tape.
❑
Remaining digital video tape capacity reaches zero.
❑
If frame dropout occurs during loading, Simple DVD Maker stops loading the movie file and cancels DVD
creation.
To avoid frame dropout, close all other applications before using Simple DVD Maker. Furthermore, do
not launch other applications, connect a USB device to your computer, or access the network while
movies are loading. If you have set anti-virus software to scan periodically, make sure you do not create
DVDs during these times.
❑
An SDM folder is automatically created inside the work folder. Once the DVD is created, the contents of
the SDM folder are automatically deleted. Do not save important files in SDM folders. If there is not
enough free space in your computer's D: drive to run other applications, the SDM folder can be deleted
in order to create more free space.
