Configure unique addresses for the IP address for setup and the IP address for Dante.
Configure devices such that all devices have a unique IP address within the same
segment (same layer 2 network).
If the default gateway is configured correctly, the IP address for setup can
communicate across routers and can be used for remote management using MASM-1.
However, when using AutoIP, communication across routers is not possible. The
network interface for setup can also operate using IPv6, but in most cases there is no
need to use it. To prevent inadvertent access, it is recommended to disable IPv6
routing on the router of the network to which the MAS-A100 is connected.
Dante does not support communication across routers or IPv6.
Setup network communications protocols and ports
The following ports on the setup network interface are open.
Allow access to the following ports as necessary, such as for remote management by
communicating across routers.
The network for setup supports HTTPS, but the MASM-1 does not support HTTPS. It is
recommended to operate using HTTP on a secure network isolated from the Internet.
API Control, using the external control API, does not have a security function. When
using API Control, it is recommended to operate on a secure network isolated from the
Internet.

Dante network communications protocols and ports
The following ports on the Dante network interface are used.
Blocking the above network protocols and ports may disrupt the transmission of Dante
audio. Be sure not to block the network protocols and ports using functions of a
network switch, such as “Block unknown multicast address” or Internet Group
Management Protocol (IGMP) snooping.
