Troubleshooting
If you run into any problems using your unit, follow the flow chart below.
The unit gets warm.
• The unit may get warmer while you use it. This is not a malfunction.
The remaining battery time indicator does not indicate the correct figure.
• Ambient temperature is too high or too low, or the battery pack has not been charged enough.
This is not a malfunction.
• Fully charge the battery pack again. If the problem persists, the battery pack may be worn-
out. Replace it with a new one.
• The indicated figure may not be correct in certain circumstances.
The battery pack discharges too quickly.
• Ambient temperature is too high or low, or the battery pack has not been charged enough.
This is not a malfunction.
• Fully charge the battery pack again. If the problem persists, the battery pack may be worn-
out. Replace it with a new one.
The recording does not start when you press the REC button.
• There is no empty space on the recording media. Replace the recording media with a new
one, delete unnecessary clips (p. 15) or format the recording media (p. 15).
The access lamp remains lit even after recording was stopped.
• Your unit is recording the scene you have just shot on the memory card.

Disconnect the power source, reconnect the power source after about 1 minute and turn
on your unit.

Reset the unit by setting [ALL RESET] (p. 15).
