In case of problems as shown below
.
The message “Can’t open COM1 port” appears on the computer.
The COM1 port is put in disabled status. Check to see if:
.
Another program uses the serial port (COM1).
.
The computer does not have the serial port (COM1).
.
The message “Failure occurred during comm port setting” appears.
Failure occurred in setting the COM1 port. Check that the COM1 port is set.
.
If a minute has passed since step 5 was done, the following message appears.
Can’t connect with HSR-1
Please hit any key to end.
Communication between HSR-1/1P/2/2P and the computer is not provided. Check the RS-232C cross cable for
normal connection. After this check, turn off the power supply to HSR-1/1P/2/2P once and start all over again from
step 2.

The message “Can’t open HSR1.MOT FILE” appears.
HSR1.MOT and HSRFLASH.EXE have not been installed in the same directory. Check the file stored position.
.
After 10 seconds or more have passed, asterisks “
*
” on the window do not increase in number.
The computer has not yet received a reply indicating that HSR-1/1P/2/2P received data. Failure has occurred in
installing the software.
Check to see if:
.
The RS-232C cable is a cross cable.
.
The RS-232C cross cable is connected. (At the computer side, the cable must be connected to COM1.)
.
The computer does not operate other application software.
