3-9-2. Software Installation (Forced)

The software can be forcibly installed in the flash memory built-in CPU (IC709) and the flash memory (IC713) of the
MA-93 board according to the following procedure.

Note :

This installation work procedure shall be carried out in the following cases. Except for these statuses,

follow the procedure described in section 3-9-1.

In case IC709 and IC713 of the MA-93 board do not operate normally.

.....

In case IC709 and IC713 of the MA-93 board have been replaced.

.....

In case a failure has occurred in installing the software shown in section 3-9-1.

Equipment in use

1. Computer: must have the following specifications.

.

Is capable of operating Windows 95.

.

Has the serial ports (COM1 and D-SUB 9-pin connector).

Note :

Portable computers such as notebook PC having the above specifications are available. However, using
computer built-in battery may cause failure in installing the software.

2. RS-232C cross cable

3. Data file to be transferred to HSR-1/1P/2/2P: HSR1.MOT (hereinafter referred to as HSR1.MOT)
4. Application that transfers data to HSR-1/1P/2/2P: HSRFLASH.EXE (hereinafter referred to as HSRFLASH.EXE.)

Installation work procedure

1. Turn off the power supply to HSR-1/1P/2/2P.

2. Turn on switch S701-8 of the MA-93 board.
3. Connect the RS-232C connector of HSR-1/1P/2/2P and the serial port (COM1) via an RS-232C cross cable.

4. Turn on the power supply to the HSR-1/1P/2/2P power supply. At this time, ERROR-90 appears in the indicator area

of the front panel.

5. Perform steps 1 to 4 in section 3-9-1.
6. Perform steps 6 to 13 in section 3-9-1.
7. Turn off switch S701-8 of the MA-93 board.
8. Turn off the power supply to HSR-1/1P/2/2P and then turn it on.
9. Check that ERROR-90 does not appear in the indicator area of the front panel.
