Blinking in intervals of 0.5 seconds: A problem is
detected during self-diagnosis.
An error message
(see page 46) may be displayed at
the same time.
Turn off the power and contact your Sony service
representative.

Slide-lock lever
Use this lever to adjust the front-back position of the
viewfinder. Turn the lever towards the back of the camera
to lock the viewfinder, and turn it towards the camera lens
to move the viewfinder forward or backward.

Handle
Use this handle to move the viewfinder's screen.

External tally lamp
Lights up (in red) when the camera receives a red tally
signal. You can adjust the lamp brightness with “UP
TALLY DIM” from the TALLY/IND menu. If you do not
want the lamp to light up, set “UP TALLY” in the TALLY/
IND menu to “OFF”.
It can be used to display the camera number by attaching
one of the supplied number plates (0 through 9).

PEAKING PLUS switch
For selecting a peaking mode.
When COLOR or BOTH is selected in the PEAKING
PLUS mode, pressing the switch for 1 second or more
executes color detection. You can set the operation mode
upon pressing this switch with “PEAKING PLUS SW”
(see page 42) in the FUNCTION menu.

ASSIGN. (assignable) switches
Can be used to store frequently used functions.
The switch above is the ASSIGN. 1 switch, and the one
below is ASSIGN. 2.
Storing a function is done using “ASSIGN.1” or
“ASSIGN.2” in the FUNCTION menu.

Tilt friction adjustment knob
Adjusts the amount of friction in the tilting mechanism.

POWER switch
Turns off the power of the viewfinder and goes into a
power-saving mode when SAVE is selected.

Mounting wedge
To attach the viewfinder to the camera, insert the mounting
wedge into the V-shaped recess on top of the camera.
x
Camera connector (D-sub 25-pin)
Connects to the camera’s viewfinder connector.
