3-2-5. FSV-CS7 (Cache Server)
This chapter describes how Cache Server are registered to
the Main Server.
1. Power on the Cache Server
When additional Cache Server(s) is connected, leave the
LAN cable disconnected until the IP address is appropri-
ately changed.
2. Change the IP address by the command line
(Refer to 5-2.)

Avoid duplication of IP Addresses.

Change the IP Address to “192.168.1.XXX”.
3. Confirm the IP address on the front LCD
Login directly to the Cache Server from the console and
execute “ifconfig bond0” command.
The Default address used on the Cache Server is
192.168.1.128.
Sonycache xxx.xxx.x.xxx x.x.x.x
4. Configuration of the Cache Server
Select the [Setup]
→
[Cache Configuration] icon.
When the [Cache Search] button is pressed, when the
connected cache is displayed, press the [Add Cache]
button.
If not, type the cache IP address in the Host column.
In the cache name column, re-write the “X” part of CX as
the cache server number.
Press the [Add Cache] button. When succeeded, the newly
added cache will be displayed in the cache list as shown
below.
If failed, check the connection of the cache server and the
initial settings and try again the above steps.
When optional Cache Server(s) is(are) connected, repeat
the steps of each above procedure.
