Preparation
1. Connect each equipment according to the connection
diagram in Section 2-1-3.
2. Turn on the power of each equipment.
3. Double click “RZ25MacSer.exe”, and start the soft-
ware for writing MAC address and serial number.
4. Type the IP address of the unit in the text box at the
upper left of the window, and click on the
[Connect]
button.

If the IP address of the unit is unknown, check it by
starting up the IP Setup Program in the CD-ROM
supplied to the unit. (Refer to the User’s Guide.)

The factory default IP address of the unit is set to
“192.168.0.100”.
Writing initial data
5. Select “Manual setting” with the software for writing
MAC address and serial number.
6. Perform the following steps (1) to (4), and write the
MAC address and serial number.
(1) Check the model number label of the unit and the
MAC address label supplied to a new SY-365/
365A board.
(2) Input the new MAC address in the “MAC ad-
dress” text box.
(3) Input the serial number of the unit in the “Serial
number” text box.
(4) Click on the
[Set]
button.

When the alphabet (a to f) is included in the MAC
address, type the address in lower-case letters.

When typing the MAC address, also type “:” at every
two digits.
7. Check that the correct MAC address and serial number
are displayed in the status indicator. If any of them are
incorrect, return to step 6, and rewrite the MAC
address and serial number.
8. Click on the
[OK]
button at the lower left of the
window to quit the software for writing MAC address
and serial number.
9. Start up the IP Setup Program in the CD-ROM
supplied to the unit, check the model name, and check
that the correct Mac address and serial number are
written. (Refer to the User’s Guide.)
