Displaying the What’s Up Screen
The What’s Up screen has 90 boxes you can assign to friends to make
connecting to them virtually effortless.
If a friend has accounts on multiple communication services, you can gather
them into single box, from which you can select how you want to
communicate with that friend. You can also assign group of IDs of multiple
contacts of a multi chat, making it easy to see the status of each of them and
enabling you to easily select and start communicating with the entire group.
The What’s Up screen also shows music information.
Press and hold HOME. Or, on the Home menu, press
/
to
select “What’s Up,” and then press the center button.
The What’s Up screen appears.
If the unit is not connected to wireless network in infrastructure or Ad Hoc
mode, it automatically turns on the wireless LAN in the same mode as the
last time the unit connected.
To change the wireless LAN mode, press OPTION, and then select
“Switch Wireless LAN Mode” from the Context menu.
Note
• If you are connecting to a public wireless hotspot, you may be required to log in using
the web browser once connected to the wireless network.
