Create Messages
You can create a new message, edit your last message or use one of the
five (5) pre-defined messages which can also be edited.
1
Select Create from the Messaging menu.
2 Select an option to create a new message
and press the Jog Dial to confirm your
selection.
3 Create your message and, when finished,
press the Jog Dial. See also the Character
Table in the chapter Phonebook, Entering
Characters in the Phonebook or T9 Easy
Text Entry Method on the next page .

Enter the number to which you want to
send the message using the keypad and
press the Jog Dial to confirm.

Select Send, Save or Cancel and press the
Jog Dial to confirm your selection.
Tip
• Press the Jog Dial in step 4 to access the Phonebook and retrieve a
number instead of typing it in manually. You can add a number from
the Phonebook anywhere in a message. Just press

and use the
Jog Dial to scroll to the Phonebook icon on the preview bar. Press the
Jog Dial to access the Phonebook and retrieve the number. Press the
Jog Dial to confirm your selection.
• If you are interrupted (e.g. incoming call) while creating a message,
select Last Message to retrieve the message and complete it continuing
from step 3 above.
