Application example – Combined heat and power station without 
operating contacts

A combined heat and power station (3) 
without operating contacts (3) can be 
wired up as shown in the left figure.

A current-operated relay (K3) detects 
whether the station (3) is currently 
active. 

If the normally open contacts of K3 
close, the digital CHP input will be 
activated.
